Turkish Airlines Long Haul Aircraft Change
Turkish Airlines going to replace some Airbus A330 routes with brand-new Boeing 773s. You may find the changes and routes below.
1) Istanbul Ataturk – Bogota – Panama City – Istanbul Ataturk eff 29MAR17 Boeing 777-300ER replaces A330-200, 3 weekly
This is good news. The airlines introduced this route in less then 1 year and now it is increasing the capacity.
2) Istanbul Ataturk – Kuala Lumpur eff 27MAR17 1 of 2 daily service operates with 777-300ER (TK060/061), replacing A330-300
Airbus A330 is replaced with Boeing 777-300ER.
3) Istanbul Ataturk – Miami eff 29MAY17 Airbus A330-200 replaces Boeing 777-300ER, 1 daily
Miami route is one of the newest routes of Turkish Carrier. This shift down is a signal that the carrier has not reached the intended passenger capacity on this route.
4) Istanbul Ataturk – New York JFK eff 29MAY17 Service operates 2 daily 777-300ER and 1 daily A330-300, instead of previously planned 11 weekly 777-300ER and 10 weekly A330-300
Previously, Turkish Airlines was operating 21 weekly services and it is going to leave as it is. However, usage of Boeing 773 is going to decrease.
5) Istanbul Ataturk – Singapore eff 30MAY17 Boeing 777-300ER replaces A330-300, 1 daily
Singapore is one of the longest routes of the Airline and competes with the Singapore Airline's daily services from Istanbul Ataturk Airport, using Boeing 777-200. Turkish carrier takes a good step on the completion with using Boeing 777-300.
6) Istanbul Ataturk – Tokyo Narita Airbus A330-300 continues daily operation on/after 27MAR17, replacing 777-300ER
This had been changed a few amounts ago and now there is another change. Please note, Narita route is one of the most prestige routes of the Airline and operates 2 daily services.
