Turkish Airlines to buy A350 XWB? Turkish Airlines, Turkey’s flagship airline, is in the negotiations with Airbus to require brand new Airbus A350s! Turkey's biggest airline has more than 160 Airbus aircraft currently in its fleet, 54 of then wide-body aircraft. The airline has been renewing its fleet by eliminating Airbus A340s and ordering new Airbus A330s and Boeing B773s. In addition to 54 Airbus wide body aircraft, the company also has 32 Boeing 773s. The new assigned board members has a great pressure to acquire more wide body aircraft such as Boeing 747s and Airbus A380s. However, even tough the top management expressed interest on these models, Turkish flag carrier airline has not come up with any order on these model but shown a great interest on B773s and A330s as the airline finds them more efficient.
